From Peru to Utah, a Seamstress’ Story
During the busy summer wedding season, I spend at least 10 hours a day working on my craft. In Syracuse, Utah, you’ll find me at my five industrial sewing and serger machines. Downstairs, my home serves as both a dressing area and showroom.

I’ve always faced challenges head-on and sought personal growth. I lost my mother when I was just nine years old and found comfort in my grandmother’s care. As a young adult, I studied sewing and clothing manufacturing in Lima, which led to a successful career as a seamstress in Peru.
Looking for more opportunities, I decided to immigrate to the United States, even though it meant leaving my three kids behind. After years of being apart, we were reunited in Utah, where I found love again and remarried.
I wanted to return to my passion for sewing, so I worked in a bakery while improving my English at Weber State University. With my improved language skills, I started M&G Alterations & Bridal, and now I craft over 100 dresses during prom and wedding seasons.
Today, my children and I are proud American citizens, living our American Dream.
